It's a funny thing. Nearly every real major change in my life I hear Sarah Mclachlan's - Building A Mystery and it reminds me of how very very things can change on the blink of an eye. And since there really isn't anyone here in development much anymore Tony (one of the developers) plays music on his ibook outloud. Normally I toss on my headphones and continue on my merry way. But as I took them off for a moment at that instant this song starts pouring out of his ibook.

What a day today. It's almost like I've been looking for this song to tell me it's ok to let go of alot of things in my past to look forward to alot of things in the future and today is the end of a chapter in my life.

There's so many other songs that take me RIGHT back to very very specific places in my life. So much so I can tell you not only why and when but almost exact dates, where I was standing, the weather, the smells, the sounds, everything. Like song are these little containers that hold the snapshots of a moment in time.

Anyone care to share some of their photos? :)

Here's mine

Every time I hear her "Angel", I'm transported right back to my wedding day. It was our "last dance" right before we left the reception and they'd passed out the bubbles to everyone to use when we left (instead of rice). Everyone started blowing them on us while we were dancing. It was kind of surreal, romantic, and wonderful. I'll never forget it, and every time I hear that song, I remember it again. I heard it today even, so it's fresh in my mind.

Wait a second...

Hey there fancypants
Play the songs that make us dance
Play the tunes that make the ladies swoon
A song for all the lonely hearts, shattered dreams and broken parts
But it feels like sunny days are coming soon

Hey Mr. Buttercup
Spin the record and try your luck
The spotlight's shining bright tonight on you
Bring along your lady friend, do a dance from way back when
Tonight's the night when all your dreams come true

Hey there sour grapes
Down in the dumps, long in the face
Drinkin' down your dinner, all alone
Feelin' bad, feelin' blue, tonight the rainbow ends with you
So sit on down and make yourself at home... So

Hey there fancypants
Play the songs that make us dance
Play the tunes that make the ladies swoon
A song for all the lonely hearts, shattered dreams and broken parts
But it feels like sunny days are coming soon!!!!

How Poetic!! I hate people post pointless lyrics and shit yo dawg.

You've got the lot to burn
A shelve of pig smotherd cries
Is there a spirit that spits
Upon the exit of signs
Is anybody there
These steps keep on growing long
Bayonet trials rust propellers await

No
Nobody is heard
Rowing sheep smiles for the dead
Nobody is heard
An antiquated home

Afloat with engines on mute
Sui generis ship spined around the yard
Is anybody there
These craft only multiply
At the nape of ruins rust propellers await

No
Nobody is heard compass wilting in the wind
Nobody is heard
Rowing sheep smile for the dead
Tansoceanic depth in this earth

No
Nobody is heard compass wilting in the wind
Nobody is heard
Rowing sheep smile for the dead
Tansoceanic depth in this earth in this cenotaph

Lash of one thousand eye brows clicking
Counting the toll
Counting the toll

You've got the lot to burn
A shelve of pig smothered cries
Is there a spirit that spits upon the exit of signs
Is anybody there
These steps keep on growing long
Bayonet trials rust propellers await

No
Nobody is heard compass wilting in the wind
Nobody is heard rowing sheep smile for the dead
Transoceanic depth in this earth in this cenotaph

Carpel jets
hit the ground
Carpel jets
hit the ground
Carpel jets
hit the ground
Carpel jets
hit the ground

Lash of one thousand eyebrows clicking
Counting the toll
Counting the toll
Lash of one thousand eyebrows clicking
Counting the toll
Counting the toll

actually i am writing my dissertation about the annexation of hawaii and how it would benefit Hawaii to gain it's sovereignty. What are you doing Tsumi? Making dat cheese with that on-fire career you got goin thurr. Let me guess... At least you have one and I am doing nothing besides posting crap on livejournal while writing silly essay papers for college. I guess you feel with your superiority at work that you can slack off and spend your time on more productive things such as posting on the ALMIGHTY LIVEJOURNAL! Or you could be like me and incredibly brilliant at multitasking... But I wouldn't want to give you too much credit Tsumik. Can I call you Pandy?

I just find it amusing you have nothing better to do with your time regardless of multitasking to go posting random dribble on tracy's friend journals.
