Thanksgiving musings 5 of 5
Nov. 29th, 2001 02:59 amYes the final one of this delayed series. Thanks goodness cause I hate having backlogged stuff. Not to mention I think I have a new one... hehe
Anyways, Epics. You know stories that just isn't one book or one movie. Ones that take alot of time and understanding to really get. Yet can capture you by the depth and detail of one viewing or reading. I think there's something about a story that isn't just a story but has all the background information that you may never see or never know but makes something seem so vast that it makes you want to explore. Nothing that leaves questions unanswered but more of you saw glimpses of something and it makes you think, ah there's probably alot more there in a tangent of the story. I think alot of things really lack a good story. Video games, Movies, books. I think alot of things have just lost this storytellers art. To invent something epic. That's like creating your own universe which you've created everything. Now that's an accomplishment. And probably why they draw me in so much. =)
