Nov. 29th, 2001 03:18 amThis is pretty interesting. Something I might like to do someday. I guess this guy is taking this adventure traveling from one part of very west end of canada going down the coast to somewhere in south america and coming around and up the coast of the other side of the US till he get's to the east most part of canada. But the interesting part here's a little excerp...
"All through high school, I didn’t party, I climbed to get high. I didn’t think about drinking. I was outside most of the time. I took pictures, so I could show others my life; because otherwise, very few people would get to know me. I’d take a little photo album to school to show classmates, and look at when I got bored. When I see pictures of myself smiling, I smile, and sometimes laugh. Life is good; photos remind me. "
This guy thinks the same thing too. I think alot of people undervalue the worth of a photograph. People always used to think I was crazy when I was in school. Just burning through film like it I was addicted. Heck sometimes I'd get ONE photo out of an entire roll but that one picture could be worth the film, developing, trouble of lugging the camera, being stealthy to get the shot, and all the other misc of taking a picture. Of course now I show them these pictures and they laugh and reminice. I don't know about the rest of you but I'd like help in remembering my life when memory begins to fail me. Could be why my 240 gigs of hard drive space is down to it's last 10 gigs. Serious need of house cleaning. =)
