Streamline and efficiency
Jul. 15th, 2005 05:02 amI've realized part of my problem is I'm constantly trying to accomplish everything at once and I seem to think if I apply just an extra bit more effort into something I can get everything accomplished. I'm starting to see that that extra time is best spent finding ways to be more effiecent and accomplish the same amount in less time versus trying to just throw more effort at a problem. I've begun to find alot of inefficiency in my daily workflow and lifestyle.
Take for instance my whole issue of keeping up with friends, contacts, new acquaintances, etc. I realized that I have numbers, addresses, business cards, emails, instant messenger names, myspace friends, lj friends, etc etc etc that are all scattered in a billion places. Stack of cards here, a group of unreplied emails there, etc etc. In steps in a blackberry or a treo. An magic, now my contacts can be more centralized and I can keep better track of everyone. I'll spend the same amount of time talking to people and getting in touch with them. But no more having to be in certain contexts (LJ, Myspace, various email inboxes, my phone, etc) to remember to do that.
And taking pictures of Karolina this past weekend helped me realized that while being a nightclub photographer is cool and fun, my love in photography has always been people and portraits. So I'm going to start on a little quest of sorts. If your willing to be a photo subject I'd like to come take pictures of you in any context, idea, or place you'd like. I just want to practice and the more people the better. =) Just tell me when and where =)
And I leave you with pictures from the shoot with Karolina
