When it rains it pours
Jul. 27th, 2005 01:36 amHow true that statement can be in both directions. In a period of a week:
-Had an incredible time with my best friend getting hammered beyond belief jumping from The Tavern at Phipps, to Blupoint, to Twist, to Rio Grande, to Sutra, then finally to Lava. I ended up having to pass out in a car in the heat. That was miserable lol!
-Went to Nick Warren at Eleven50 on Saturday... and then brought Nick Warren to my friends place and he played to all of 15 people.
-Met up with the Hot Dog guy from in front of Eleven50 cause I promised him I'd take pictures of his wife for him sometime. (Their relationship dynamic is HILARIOUS) Turns out he's an executive director for the Bangladesh Association of Georgia. Went and took some pictures and basically got fed some AWESOME Indian food by his sister and hung out with like 400 Indian and Bangladesh people as they rocked it out with some band they brought from India.
-Had another modeling photoshoot that turned out wonderfully. (Hopefully I can get a studio someday)
-Got my second flash back from Nikon and started pulling out photos with the clarity I've been expecting from my larger lense (It was that semi blurry nightclub picture look shooting in next to no light which I was getting used to.)
-Best Friend started his new job Monday. About damn time he got out of the old place. Now only if we can get someone to pay him more then half of what he's worth as a designer =)
-Got called in to Southern Company to do freelance work at a killer hourly rate.
-Had my interview with the Georgia Dept. of Education for a Sr. Web Designer position. Then got a call from my recruiter before I made it to my car after the interview. I tried to negotiate for some time before making a decision cause I had a feeling Southern Company might offer me full time contract. Instead got counter offered from the GA-DOE with 15% more then I originally asked for. I start Monday.
-My old work friend Elizabeth just had a baby. (She must have been pregnant the last time I saw her and she didn't even know it) Hopefully have lunch with her Friday and see the new one.
-My parents close on their new house(aka mansion). They deserve it though and I hope Ft. Worth is much better for them then Orlando.
I do wonder if my phone is acting up though as everyone I called today didn't seem to return my call. I had the evening off and wanted to see if someone wanted to do something. But that's ok I ended up taking a nap which was probably much needed since I remember telling myself at 8am when I got up this morning that I was way tired. Next thing I know the phones ringing and it's 11am. I'm face down in the pillow with my legs hanging off the bed. =)
