I must have the best luck or something. I was looking for when the next opera/symphony performances were this season and decided to look to see what bands and such are playing in Atlanta the next few days. I noticed Gwen Stefani and Black Eyed Peas are playing next week, so I go to ticketmaster and check to see how much tickets are. A set of seats come up that are sort of off the side of the stage for $60 bucks each. I think that's not too bad so I buy two of them. Then to satisfy the catlike curiousity in myself I search again. And again. And again. I try like 8 times with it coming back with no tickets. That's strange I think to myself. So I go looking on craigslist and various tickets sites. Those $60 a ticket seats are selling on sites that have them for $155 per ticket in the location I'm in.
Now that's just mad. And the crazy part is someone is going to be willing to buy them at that price. I can only imagine what front and center floor seats must go for. But in either case should make for a fun time to go check something out that's not techno music at a nightclub. Seeing Def Leppard with [livejournal.com profile] househead made me realize I need to go check out more diverse musical acts while I have the chance.

So... Anyone got $60 and wants to see Gwen Stefani and Black Eyed Peas next week Tuesday at 7:30? :)
So I decided to meet my friend Samira over at Atlantic Station and instead of taking the shuttle I walked across the 17th street bridge and tour around early.

and now I'm at Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro having one of my old favorites: A Tanqueray #10 Martini.

The really cool thing about this place even though the decorating is much like the cheesecake factory is the bar. I didn't notice it until my hand hit the iced strip but just like at cold stone ice cream parlors they have this super cold strip of frosted ice at the bar. They turn their martini glasses upside down to cool them and it leaves a thin edging of ice on the rim much like salt on a margarita. and the beer taps have ice frozen over them. Very classy. :)

But she is almost here. Oh and photos for Halloween go up tonight. Eleven50 asked me to get photos up on their site first before putting them up so I had to wait.
