So I haven't had a cell phone in over a week now and I find it very very odd how much I've come to used to it being there. How I can't just pick up the phone and call someone when I need something or want to talk to someone. I realized just how very interconnected we've all become with cell phones, instant messenger, and emails. Don't worry I'm waiting on my new cell phone from AT&T to arrive. But the world has become such a smaller place and I think it explains why things like ADD, anxiety disorders, and extremely high stress levels are alot more prevalent nowadays. We just don't seem to allow ourself to step back and away from other people and just spend the time to regroup, relax, and contemplate ones life. So I guess needing "me" time isn't exactly being selfish but is something that should be perscribed. =)

Thats really funny that you say that, I was just talking to dr00 about the same thing the other day. We were talking about how someone asked him "How did we even get along before cell phones?" and how people used to work so hard because now so much of technology is built on our own laziness and how to make our own lives so much easier...

OK, back from my tangent. Anyways, agreed. Isnt it just serene to think about not being "in touch"? Yet you still arent on some remote island! Something about being home and living normally and not being rushed about or able to be contacted...*sigh*
