*sigh* Student loans
Apr. 26th, 2004 12:37 pmAnd so the wonderful madness of my student loans continues. They want $517 dollers from me next month. Or they'll happily talk to getting it straight from my employeer. Fabulous. Note to everyone out there. When dealing with the federal goverment in large quanities of money make sure ever piece of coorespondance is checked several times and documented. 2 years ago out of the 15 or so papers that were needed to put my student loan on forebarence for 6 months while I was unemployeed thanks to the wonderful dot com bubble burst one item was missing. They just figured I didn't want to go through with it anymore. So I went about my life looking for a job for 4 month when I get this lovely phone call saying my student loan was now placed in default at a happy 27,000 and if I wanted to go ahead and pay that today. Who has $27,000 dollers just sitting around?! It's like once you've "defaulted" your student loan your considered the most horrible person in the world and they try to squeeze the very existance out of you. and when I say they want every last cent you can spare I mean EVERY last cent. Did you know they only credit me like $40 dollers a week for food? While it's possible it's definitely not the life I want to live for the next 5-7 years. UGH!
Ugh anywho excuse me while I go grab my ankles some more.
