Well I've just spent the last 3 hours reading about one of my "Noble Persuits" That is sword forging and smithing. This all falling back to hand made things. I don't know what it is about something made by hand that is so much superior to something made by a machine. I guess cause it has soul, personality, and feeling. Isn't that the most important? Why surround yourself with things that are lifeless, dead, and void. If we're affected by things in our enviroment I rather surround myself with objects with stories then objects with serial numbers. I've been told that in japanese ceramics they intentionally add a slight flaw into every bowl, cup, etc they make to make sure it has a human element to it. Then one must wonder is this why all humans are born with some slight imperfection in someway? Is this why we don't have serial numbers but souls?
