Disillusion
Jul. 17th, 2004 04:20 amSure makes it hard to look at world and attempt to move forward when just talking with people and watching what people do around me just makes me lose more and more face in the human race. It makes me want to turn my back on everything and everyone and just go do something somwhere alone. I'd rather be bleak, dull, and alone then be around the disgusting wretch of individuals I always seem to find.
Why are we such a destructive race? Why are we so wretchedly horrible? All I want to do is see the good in us all and to make this world a more beautiful place. Tonight I feel like everything is against that. It's always about the "me" and not the "how can I help" Maybe I should just shut up and quit trying to go upstream and turn around and be as conniving and dark hearted as everyone else. Someone hand me an ice pick so I can jab it into my brain and lobotomize myself and be a lemming.
Good night hopefully he sunshine will bring out the better in us.
*EDIT Sorry everyone I'll get back to my regularly scheduled happy thought provoking self in due time.

At times it seems like there's nothing but tempers, impatient drivers, lying friends, disgruntled co-workers, and terrorists killing my peeps, but when you rub your eyes from the world we're led to see to the one around you'll start to see that there are little acts of kindness all around as well as big ones. Sometimes we don't hear about the good things that go on around us because people think that their lives will never be the way they want them so they always look for negative things to complain about and news channels have no problem providing them with over 7 billion people on this planet.
