Today was my last day at work. I am now officially unemployed. It's funny how many people I told that to and said "OMG are you ok? I would be freaking out if I didn't have a job." And where I can understand where they're coming from... does everyones life really have to revolve around working? I mean perhaps I should be more freaked out about the fact I don't have work but I'm actually sort of happy about it. I get time to do things I want to do finally. Things I've wanted to get done.

It's funny cause here in America after your general introductions it's the fateful question "So what do you do?" Not, where'd you grow up, what's your favorite food, how do you like the city... it's always a number one interest in what someone does. I don't think what someone does for a living makes them as a person. I know people who are programmers who are some of the most alive and creative people I know, and I know creative people who are as boring and daft as humanly possible. So why is it in America we're so conditioned to have to know what other people do as a job?

Anywho. I'm sleeping in tomorrow, and then I'm going to the bank and paying off in full my first car. No more car payments. =)
