So all my sites have been down 30+ hours now. Which means no graphics, no photos, no email, no client login etc. (I knew keeping my portfolio on another host was a good idea) And I'm currently fighting with the support team. They're god aweful. and they want to only credit me a week even after it says right on there site for that amount of outage I should be getting at least a whole month. If ANYONE is hosted by hostdime.com for the love of God please get off that host and go somewhere before you incur the same nightmare I am right now.

Anyone know of a good host?
I've looked through ipowerweb(reviews stating poor customer service), hostgator(only provide very small amounts of hard drive space), eTecc.net(read a really really scary review about how it's run.)

I basically would like 8-10GB of disk space, and above 30GB of bandwidth/transfer a month. Cpanel/WHM would be incredily nice. Fantastico V2 would be a bonus but not required. And I'd have to have a MySQL database. Looking to pay $30-$50 a month.

Thanks in advance everyone. Now excuse me while I go tear my hair out.

I'd recommend checking out HostingMatters. ( http://www.hostingmatters.com ) - we use them for a product site for Storagetek, and they rock.

I use CyberPixels and I like them. Their highest plan is 500Mb with 20Gb transfer for $11.95/month, but you can add on 100Mb and 1Gb transfer for $1/month each. But yeah, they have cpanel, fantastico, mysql and all that good stuff. :)

And the support people are really nice. ;)

Hey erich. I have been goin through the same thing =( I was freaking out with no email!

I looked into ixwebhosting.com -- on a lot of the sites i looked at they were rated in the top 2 or 3 of all hosting companies. They have a 99.9% uptime guarantee, where if it is down for more than 3 hours a month, that month is free, and if it is down for more than 12 hours a month, the year is free. Sounds cool to me.

They have fairly felxible plans. some I looked at were like 3 static ip's for 12 bucks a month plus a free domain registration etc.. For 30 - 50 a month you can get some really nice plans, iirc.

OH, and whatever you do, PLEASE (for the love of God) do not go with ipowerweb. They are total crap. I had them three years ago as a host for a site i did at church, and even though the hosting was canceled when the first year was up, they keep getting the regular bill. They have spoken to like a hundred people at the company and they keep getting bills even though they keep canceling. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
