Monday munday
Dec. 19th, 2005 10:46 amYawn! This should be a light week at work so there is no point in taking off. Might as well save those days for Miami in March. This weekend was a lot of fun minus not being able to catch dinner with Ashley or the Aquarium with Jennifer.
Friday I was definitely not feeling holiday cheerful so dinner at
househead's house with his fiancee and some of our friends was much needed. Made a great appetizer and the had handmade stuffed shells with two sauces. Got to just hang out at Eleven50 and see some people I don't have time to talk to out cause I'm usually running around trying to take pictures.
Then Saturday made this fantastic dish of pan fried artichoke, lemon and pesto turkey medallions on top of rice covered with a sweet apple and apricot reduction. So good! mmm! that night included a piss poor hockey game between the thrashers and panthers. It was like watching disabled kids ice capades. The puck handling was nonexistant along with the fact there was hardly any scoring. Afterwards we headed out as Los Lobos (aka
muffinbear) calls "shoe shopping" and we ran into on of the former owners of Sutra. Needless to say smashed for cheap. All good except he bought us a final round of shots and it was a Jager bomb. Might as well been septic water cause I got real sick. And all I could taste was nachos from the hockey game and jager. Not pleasant.
Sunday was not good in the morning but rounded out with dinner at Maggianos for my friend Diane's graduation dinner which was most excellent. We got the family style dinner and omg I thought the tapeworm was going to drown I ate so much. A little wine at Vinocity and xbox when I got home.
So a great weekend. :) Hope everyone else had a good one!
