I came upon the realization
Jun. 5th, 2003 01:13 pmYou know with all my financial struggles(why with what I make blows my mind) I realized something.
It's not a matter of cutting back expense and spending less. It's about taking initiative and making more. =)
It's like the glass half full/hall empty thing. Instead of cutting back and worrying about the fact I don't have enough money I should concentrate more on making more money.
Money definitely sucks when you don't have it and it definitely doesn't make one happy. But not having it when you need it surely makes one not happy. What I wouldn't give to be debt free. But that's ok that day will come. =)

Date: 2003-06-07 01:55 pm (UTC)Oh, and while I'm "attacking" you let me let you in on something. If you really want to do something worthwhile quit concerning yourself with a half-dead "scene" full of retards and e-tards and do something to benefit society. Shit, if you respect the military so much join them. I'm sure they could use the help and you could use the lesson.
Yes my opinion here is the only one that matters =)
Date: 2003-06-09 08:00 am (UTC)Who ever said I don't do things that benefits society? And no I'm not going to pattle on about what I do. As for the half-dead "scene", There's some of us that love that music and will continue to love that music. This half dead scene is the place I've met alot of friends, had some amazing experiences, and has brought alot of smiles to my face. Who said I concerned myself with the retards and e-tards? And as cliche as it sounds I'm there for the music.
As for the military please refer to #3 on the previous reply as I was in the military and was honorable discharged. And what lesson are you referring too? Cause you apparently are privy to some insite about the military which I did not get while there or while spending next to my entire life with my military family and relatives. So please enlighten me oh great one since you obviously seem to be the one who's more "grown up" to make such assesments.
Re: Yes my opinion here is the only one that matters =)
Date: 2003-06-10 11:30 am (UTC)Honorably discharged huh? Well, that can mean a lot of things. In some branches you can get an honorable discharge for pissing hot for pot. Yes, I do know a lot about the military thank you. My family is Army and my husband is Air Force. I'm not privy to any insight that's special. I meant you could use some discipline. If you can't discipline yourself on your spending then you're going to screw up big at some point. When you live spending what you have paycheck to paycheck any one thing can put you in debt. That is speaking from personal experience. So, if you want to throw my advice out the window go right on ahead, but don't be surprised if you get yourself into more debt than you are already in somewhere down the road.
Re: Yes my opinion here is the only one that matters =)
Date: 2003-06-10 12:51 pm (UTC)I didn't know you could get an honorable discharge for that. I assumed it was just a standard discharge. If you must know I was given the option to honorably discharge due to there being to many individuals in my fiscal year. The military is only allowed X number of individuals in certain grades. This I'm sure you know. I was given the option but did not have to take it.
And maybe i should help define financial struggles for you. I'm paying off debt and am being responsible. It's not a matter of spending to much and not having enough money. It's more of an issue of having lots of money but putting it mostly toward bills, student loans, etc. I'm wishing for more money to spend. So going into more debt doesn't seem like a problem here. I hope this clears it up for you more.
