The iPod...

On another note... Damn apple and it's overly tempting iPod. I just saw they had a fm transmitter accessory. That would COMPLETELY get rid of my need for a cd player in the car. Cause then I could just set the radio to the right frequency and I'd be set. Not to mention I could just walk out of the car. Not have to worry about unplug the ipod as I got out of the car to take with me. AND I could just take it to anyone elses car if they were driving and they would just have to turn their radio to the right station to hear it. The only two things the iPod lacks now that makes it the all in one accessory that would surely sink me. I needs to have an input device even if it's a small touch square to write palm graffiti so you can enter in data away from a computer and it needs to have a color screen and a compact flash card reader so I could transfer photos to and from my digital camera. That way all I would need is my camera, and ipod. A record feature would be nice too and then it would be a portable dat recorder.

Yeah, its awesome and I think thats pretty much the direction they are going, eventually it'll be an all in one multimedia studio away from home. Although if you want to help to keep from the temptation of buying one... If you used that FM antenna thing in the car you'll lose some audio quality due to the modulation and whatnot. So for audio quality it'd be better to just use your CD player for now... Unless you have one with direct audio in...

I want one for running and skiing... Apple even made a SKi jacket with ipod controls on it.

I never really noticed much difference in quality when we used fm modulation from a pioneer cd changer in the truck in some of our older cars.

But yes I saw that ski jacket and it rocks.
