day 4.

Oi i so hate the make up of society. The possesiveness, the rules, the majority. What I've always wondered is why some things follow the model of the majority (where the bigger group gets what makes them happy and the smaller one suffers) and yet others follow the model of case by case basis.

I guess court cases are the snow globe version of that. People get varying sentences for breaking the same law due to case by case circumstance. But have you ever wondered if those laws that put them in that situation were flawed to begin with? Cause who makes the laws, the majority right? And I'm quite aware of all the arguements against that but ugh.

And for those of you wondering I'm not breaking laws or anything and trying to say I should have some special privledge. It's just a general rant against the way society runs.

But Erich, what laws are annoying you? There are few that I can think of that are really too irritating. Such as sex laws (not exactly enforcable and only applicable to gay folk for like, marriage etc) and drug laws. Are you trying to have an orgy with a group of 13 year olds and not end up like R Kelly? Or better yet, a drug laden orgy with a group of 13 year olds.

Actually, I can think of some laws that are rather oppressive, but not applicable to me personally. Such an anti-homeless laws and sneaky civil liberties stuff. Wait, the second one can be applicable, I just don't know the specifics.

Guess what? You're right. Society's fucked up! Damn, too bad I depend on it for everything. But we can change things, right? With our actions and votes and purchases and stuff? Please tell me I'm not powerless. If only the majority wasn't so apathetic, things might get shaken up a bit.
