Ooook, so today I'm in the LOVELIEST of moods. *throws more stuff* Why do people insist on being fake? I mean honestly why do we live more in a world of make believe of "I'll do this", "I'll do that", "I'll see you then" when it couldn't be farther from the truth. I'm tired of putting myself out there for people making me think our friendship is mutual when it turns out it's only mutual if it's conveniant. *breaks something* It's such an incredible let down and does exactly the opposite of what I was hoping it would help. I guess it just helps reenforce the fact that there really is very very few people I can turn to if needed. Too much talk and no walk from people today. *kicks someone* Back to manning the oars!

Different people have different relationships with their, um...relationships. To a point, we all succumb to social niceties in order to smooth our days out. If we challenged all of our "how are you doing?"s with a "do you really give a shit?", life may be more interesting, but I doubt it would get you anywhere. I think the problem lies in a clash of expectations with relationships. It is sometimes difficult to tell at times where the casual social niceties stop and the real grit of the matter begins. Then one person may think the other is sincerely in the mood for anything beyond banter, when that is not the case. It is easy to be disappointed and think "gee, my friends SUCK" (which I think a lot more than I wish I did). Basically, a lot of people are not taught how to go much deeper into that. Others don't want to. And others really are satisfied with the tiny top of the iceberg. But don't let that make you assume that others do not want true friendships b/c that is absolutely NOT the case. BTW you can call me if you want to break stuff. I can encourage you as you make Howard Dean screams and smash all of your enviro-egg decorations.
