Music always sooths my soul

I just let me worries go and get wrapped in the complexities of sound, rhythm and structure. I honestly don't know what I would do with myself if I haven't had music in my life. Not just music to listen to but the ear I was blessed with. The number of years I spend playing piano, saxophone, flugalhorn, and the wonderful times at two music conservatories. I still wonder if there is anyone else who's played all 199 Steinways on campus and honestly felt every single one had a distinctive emotion, feel, sound, and temperment.
There was this guy on some korean show my mom was watching who was completely blind but could distinguish people, cars, even direction by sound. He was the village mechanic which I thought was insane and he could repair anything from a car to a washing machine just by listening to it. He'd know exactly what was wrong and how to repair it. What ever amazed me even more then that was the face he went fishing BY HIMSELF in the ocean every week. And I'm thinking this guys is blind... is that even possible? And sure enough they go boating out there with a camera and there is the guy fishing with some net.
Which to that I realize some people are born with senses so much more finally tuned then most everyone else. I really wonder what it would be like to have one of my other senses as hightened as well as my ear are.
