Built in disappointment

Getting ones hair color is sort of disappointing cause it fades with in the first day. My hair while a bit shocking had the vibrant colors of some lobster that came out of the sea with bright reds oranges and yellows. And now looking at it today it seems well sort of blah. Is there anything I can do besides recoloring it stronger to get that vibrance back?


... I just realized... I really sounds like a lot of girls I know who have gotten there hair colored.

Are you using semi permanent dye? Semi permanent always fades rather quickly. If you want a brighter look, you might try permanent, and then just bleach it out once you get sick of it. There's also this special shampoo/conditioner that holds the colour in longer. I'm having my own hair issues right now. Instead of getting the stuff to pull the colour out (my hair was bright blue), I decided to try to dye over it. My hair turned a greenish colour. Ack. I'm getting it fixed this weekend, altho it's just hair.

Shouldn't be semi permanet as I got it done at a hair salon. Yeppers just hair =) It's faded out to a more copper color now which is probably better since I have one of those corporate jobs. =)
